Alexander Geil has been writing and directing films since 2016. When he was a student at Smithfield High School in 2021, he released Tranquility, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, and Apple TV. March is Music in Our Schools Month! Students at Pleasant View enjoyed a performance by the Coyote Brass Assembly. Sergeant Casey and Sergeant Bates even popped into a Kindergarten music class to play xylophones with the students!


Elementary Math Camp funded through the Governor’s Learn 365 Grant provides students opportunities to use math in hands-on, collaborative ways to help build a positive math mindset. Here students celebrated Pi Day (3.14) by calculating the circumference of the circle at the center of Pleasant View’s courtyard.
River Adventures is one of the free after-school clubs being offered at Gallagher Middle School as part of the grant-funded collaboration between Smithfield Public Schools and the Smithfield YMCA. This club is being run by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council.
