The staff of the Department of Buildings and Grounds includes 22 custodians and 5 maintenance staff who work to ensure that the district’s facilities are maintained to a standard that supports teaching and learning. We work closely with district and school administrators, teachers, and staff to respond to any facilities issues and plan solutions that best meet the needs of the schools and district.

Building Use Process: The district allows outside organizations to use our facilities in accordance with school committee policy (https://policies.smithfield-ps.org/home/kf). Outside organizations must fill out this application form and go through an approval process. Completed forms must be sent to Angelo Mencucci.
