A Weekly Report on COVID Cases

Since last week’s report, there has been a decrease in the number of cases in our district. There are an additional 7 confirmed COVID cases. This brings our total since our school year began to 1,142 cases. There were 2 cases identified at SHS, 1 case identified at Gallagher, 1 case at Pleasant View Elementary, 1 case at LaPerche Elementary, 1 case at Old County Road Elementary and 1 case in our Administration Building.

COVID Vaccine Clinic for Ages 5 years +

We will be hosting a COVID vaccine clinic in cooperation with The Wellness Center at Old County Road Elementary School on Friday, June 10th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. They will be offering the Pfizer vaccine in both pediatric and adult dosages. You can register for the 5 - 11 year old dose at  OCRS Pfizer 5 - 11 year old and the 12 year + dose at OCRS Pfizer 12 year +

Town Data

The number of new weekly COVID cases in Smithfield has dropped from 70 cases to 64 last week.  The number of cases in the state dropped to 3609 from 5004 the week prior. The town rate corresponds to a weekly rate of 290 new cases per 100,000 residents. Our community’s risk level for COVID-19 transmission dropped from high to moderate.
