Construction is in full swing at Anna M. McCabe, Raymond C. LaPerche, and the Old County Road Elementary schools!
The foundation footings and walls for the new addition at McCabe are 60% complete. Site work is ongoing, with storm and sanitary lines 95% complete. Ductbank for new electrical service has been poured and crews are progressing with work in the electrical room. Abatement has been completed in the administration areas. Further abatement, fire alarm, and electrical work are expected next week, as is the continued work for the addition foundation.
At LaPerche Elementary, recent efforts have been focused on the perimeter footing and foundation walls for the addition. Site work has been continuing with excavation and installation of drainage structures and piping and grading for spillway ponds and bio-retention areas. Work for new sanitary service for the addition has recently started. In the existing building, abatement of the gym floor has been completed; work will start on the interior finishes to include new acoustical treatment, paint, flooring and base.
Crews at Old County Road Elementary School are still heavily focused on demolition. Site work, including drainage and electrical Ductbank installation are underway. We should see the outline of the revised building footprint taking place in the next few days.
