Dear Families,
Thank you for a great first week back at PVES! We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as First Student bus company worked through some hiccups with arrival and dismissal. We are grateful for everyone’s cooperation as we continue to work toward smooth and efficient routines.
As a reminder, Door 1 opens at 8:20 a.m. Parents and guardians should not leave their child unattended or leave the front circle before 8:20 a.m.
Today, we were excited to welcome our kindergarteners for their very first day at PVES! We are thrilled to have them officially join our Panda family.

Please be sure to turn in all summer work packets no later than Tuesday, September 1st.
Please complete the Photo Permission and Elementary Handbook Acknowledgement Form (double-sided) and return it to your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important paperwork!
Finally, if your child completed their summer work, please remember to turn it in no later than Tuesday, September 1st.

Revive The Roots
Thank you to Ms. Jennifer LaPreste from Revive the Roots and Mrs. Morrison who was one of several families that helped harvest, glean, weed, and maintain the school garden over the summer. We appreciate everyone’s support with maintaining our garden over the summer. We are currently looking for families to help maintain and weed our garden. If you are willing to volunteer, please email Mrs. Viera at tviera@smithfield-ps.org.
