#Engage, Energize,& Educate
May 15th
Dear Families, Staff, Volunteers, and PTO,
Thank you all for another over-the-top production performed by our Panda Players! The Wizard of Oz was absolutely amazing and truly enjoyed by all last night.
Your time, talent, creativity, and dedication helped create such a memorable experience for our students, families, and school community. From the rehearsals and set design to costumes, organization, and support behind the scenes, every contribution made a difference.
We are so grateful for the countless hours and teamwork that brought this production to life. Thank you for helping our students shine and for making the arts such a special part of our school community.
NO PASSING AT CAR RIDERS
Just a reminder there is NO PASSING at the car rider drop off or car rider pick up. On Monday morning a student was getting out of their vehicle on the driver side and a parent was trying to pass the car. This is not SAFE nor ALLOWED.
These students were “Caught Being Kind” last week:
Thank you Alena Sanville, Aaron Conlon, Sebastian Mejia, and Jaxson Orsini for being KIND!

A Message From Miss Altieri’s 4th Grade Classroom
On Friday, the fourth graders in 4A worked on a special kindness project inspired by our guest speakers, Mr. and Mrs. Whitten. They shared the importance of “passing kindness on” and how one small act of kindness can create a ripple effect for others.
Students worked together to create care packages for those less fortunate. Each bag included snacks, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and most importantly, a heartfelt note written by the students themselves.
We are encouraging students to keep these care packages in their parent or guardian’s car so they are ready to give to someone in need. Whether it is passed along to a person experiencing homelessness or someone going through a difficult time, our hope is that this small act of kindness can brighten someone’s day and remind them that they are cared for.
A big thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Whitten for their kindness, generosity, and everything they do for our school. Our students loved hearing from them, and we are so thankful for the positive impact they continue to have on our school community!
Lost & Found
Please encourage your child to check the Lost & Found for any missing items. All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, May 29th.
We also highly recommend labeling all clothing and personal belongings with your child’s name on the tags to help us return lost items more easily.
Attendance
PVES is holding steady at 26 on the state attendance board with a .08% increase in absences. Our goal is to get back to #1! Thank you for bringing your child to school on time when they are WELL.
A Message From Our Staff Garden Club
As we continue to plan for our school grounds, we would love the support of our families in helping enhance our front entrance and courtyard spaces. If you have any extra bulbs, perennials, or garden plants that you would be willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate your generosity. These additions will help create a welcoming and vibrant environment for our students, staff, and visitors to enjoy throughout the seasons.
Unified Talent Show
Ability Bridge and SHS Best Buddies is hosting a Unified Talent Show, and we are very excited to bring this event to our students! This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Registration will open on April 13th and close on April 27th, so the window to sign up is limited.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Once registration closes, I will stop by to collect the completed applications.
Thank you so much for your help and support!
