Dear Families,
It was a busy first week back from vacation at PVES! First, a huge THANK YOU to all our Earth Day volunteers which include Kelly DeAngelis, Jacqueline Brooks, Lindsey Whitten, Bria Wilbur, and Stacie Nichols. Students, volunteers, and staff contributed to picking up trash, weeding, spreading mulch, picking sticks and rocks. Finally, we planted beautiful pansies around the trees out front. Our Earth Day was a huge success!
Another huge THANK YOU goes out to Mrs. Dohoney for organizing a PVES school-wide 100th Birthday parade for Mr. Dolce who is a veteran in our community. All students received dog tag necklaces and a description detailing Mr. Dolce’s service.

On Wednesday we also celebrated Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Pierpaoli for Administrative Assistants Day! We appreciate all that they do to keep PVES running smoothly on a daily basis!

There was also the Walking School Bus on Wednesday that started back up again. Thank you Mrs. Traverse, Mrs. Lisi, Mrs. Marques-Jordan, Mrs Clapprood,. Mrs. Barrette, and Miss Moretti as well as our local fire department and police for supporting this weekly endeavor!

We appreciate our partnership with Bryant University! A BIG thank you to the Bryant University Lacrosse team for your continued support with reading with our second graders. Also, thank you to the Bryant University Football team for their help after school on Friday with spreading more mulch around PVES and raking up the wood chips on the playground.
Do You Sew?
Hi! My name is Kristine Straus, and I am the art teacher at SHS. I worked with second graders at PVES on Friday on a joint project with my Foundations of Art class. The kiddos will be designing 'people' for their biography unit, and my kiddos will be hand sewing their designs.

PVES PTO Proudly Presents the First Production for the PVES PTO Panda Players! Come out and see Willy Wonka Kids on Thursday, May 9 at SHS Auditorium! Doors open at 6pm and the show begins at 6:30pm.
